Our Story
In the beginning, I was a young mom looking to step away from teaching to be home with my young children. Aside from using my masters to teach, my passion was animals. Growing up on a dairy farm made a wonderful childhood for me and I knew animals were to be apart of my future in some capacity.
I love raising animals and developed an understanding of the tremendous commitment I was looking at when thinking of bringing new life into the world. Our current pet at the time was an amazing, high shedding labrador retriever. All these things combined led us labradoodles. We started small in 2008 with one lab and one poodle. We have developed a legacy line in our doodles from this first cross. It's a wonderful thing to see how the puppy's carry great temperaments and health from our decade of commitment to labradoodles. Journeycreek labradoodles has been one of the hardest and yet most rewarding venture we have done. Life is truly a journey filled with unexpected blessings. Journeycreek is that for us! In the here and now, it's truly a family environment. Day in and day out our five kids ranging from toddler to teen are involved in the lives of the puppies. We realize the value of high-quality care and take every effort to see that the puppies arrive here safe and sound and that the mamas receive the much-needed care.

Losing a Puppy
Puppy loss is most often avoided because of our type of care. Breeding in our eyes in a complicated process of genetics, care, and the dedicated decision to doing whats best, not always what's profitable. If you are looking into others breeders, we strongly encourage you to make sure price is not the only factor you consider.
As always, rescuing is a great option for adding to your family as well! The trend is steadily increasing since we started raising labradoodles and so we also caution you to avoid thinking a significantly higher priced dog is better as well.
